The IMIXPanoRad SL digital radiography system.

August 19, 2010 – A transportable digital radiography (DR) system that can be moved and connected to any existing radiography system to deliver immediate imaging will be shown for the first time by IMIX Americas Inc. at the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) 2010 Annual Meeting, Aug. 23-25, in Booth 408 in Washington, D.C.

The fully transportable IMIX RadStation delivers full digital capability without mechanical modifications. A single RadStation provides a medical facility with an efficient and cost-effective way to achieve DR imaging from multiple portable X-ray systems. It comes equipped with the IMIX SlimlineT TFT-based detector with a 14- x 17-inch field of view.
The company said the system offers a high-value DR solution for clinical environments that traditionally have not been able to realize the efficiency and throughput benefits of DR due to budget, space and other limitations.

The IMIX booth will also showcase the versatile IMIXPanoRad SL and IMIXIntuition DR systems, which are ideal for rooms with size and ceiling height limitations. The Intuition will be configured with the IMIXCube, the first self-supporting overhead tube crane, which provides the flexibility and positioning advantages of an overhead support crane without the need for costly unistrut. IMIXCube can be used in rooms with ceiling heights as low at 8 feet, 3 inches.
