August 16, 2010 – Software version 3.01 for CS-3 Control Station has been released by Konica Minolta. It supports the company’s new image resend feature and enables users to connect an existing CS-3 to the dual bay Xpress CR 210 with C-plate technology.

Boasting a 43.75um read function, Konica Minolta’s C-plate technology promises improved image quality due to image granularity in low dose applications such as pediatric and neonatal imaging. The image resend function allows the computed radiography (CR) reader to retransmit image data in the event of a network disruption or loss of power, minimizing the possibility of image retakes due to image data loss.

With Konica Minolta’s Ultimate Resource Sharing concept, users have the flexibility to separate the location of the CS-3 console from the CR readers. One CS-3 console can control several CR readers distributed throughout a facility, which helps optimize system utilization and create an ideal workflow based on number of exams, workflow and floor space.

The software upgrade is available to all existing CS-3 console users. Version 3.01 will be included with all new units.
