December 28, 2009 - At this year's top collegiate football bowls, X-ray systems will wait on the sidelines to diagnose injured athletes immediately and efficiently with the guidance of team doctors.

One portable X-ray system, the FCR Go, has been named the official portable digital X-ray system of the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) 2010 Tostitos Fiesta and 2009 Insight Bowl Games. The system’s speed provides digital images at a workstation within seconds, and it eliminates the need to print X-ray films so that players can be diagnosed more quickly.

The FCR Go is a portable digital X-ray system that provides the same functionality as a standalone Fujifilm digital X-ray system. The system provides flexible positioning around patients, and the onboard technologist workstation completes the image processing. The system incorporates durable and lightweight cassettes in multiple sizes. It interfaces with Fujifilm’s Synapse PACS, which features exam-specific presets for image optimization.

The system will appear at the 2010 Insight Bowl, held December 31, 2009, at Sun Devil Stadium located in Tempe, Ariz., where the University of Minnesota will take on Iowa State. The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl will take place on January 4, 2010 at the University of Phoenix Stadium located in Glendale, Ariz., and will feature two undefeated teams, Boise State vs. TCU.
