At RSNA 2009, Fujifilm Medical Systems features its Synapse Radiology platform, which combines the intelligence of a business system, imaging science, technology and customer service to meet the needs of radiology departments. All areas are covered from RIS to PACS to Communications (peer review and critical results) to teleradiology.

The teleradiology RIS enables orders to be generated from a DICOM image as well as from HL7 or through Web-based remote order entry. Worklist criteria are flexible and can be filtered on location, by modality, by body part and by assigned radiologist.

The report creation function allows users to send out reports with the individual ordering site’s letterhead and logo – automatically. Plus, the Synapse PACS links with the RIS teleradiology solution.

Fujifilm also offers a totally-turnkey, fully comprehensive managed teleradiology solution. It includes: software, hardware, data center hosting and system management.

These products are developed with Web technology and powered by enterprise Oracle databases.
