At RSNA 2009, visitors will be able to see the fully integrated IMPAX RIS/PACS/REPORTING solution in action, demonstrating the radiology workflow from order management through to results distribution. Desktop extensions ranging from information queries to advanced image processing will further demonstrate the strength of the IMPAX total solution. Highlights include:

• Advancements in clinical applications with fully integrated advanced image processing including IMPAX Registration & Fusion, IMPAX Volume Viewing and IMPAX for orthopedics
• Improvements in result distribution of images and information to referring physicians at the point of care
• Communication tools to improve the exchange and delivery of vital information including instant messaging and voice clip options with access controls
• Support for DICOM Structured Report display including: Basic Text Reports, Echo Measurements, Clinical Application DICOM SR Measurements
• Functionality and workflow enhancements to further improve the management of large volume studies with multiple series. Advanced features include:
o Active Target, which simplifies multi-planar, cross sectional navigation and replaces the traditional “stack” navigation to view areas of interest in all planes simultaneously
o Auto Link which automatically links 'like series' within one study to make navigation through numerous series more efficient
o cross study series link for comparative study navigation
• IMPAX Reporting streamlining a variety of reporting workflows such as Dictate-Edit-Sign, Correctionist, Resident-Attending, and digital dictation, as well as allowing at-home reporting and remote sign-off.
