June 24, 2009 – ContextVision, software imaging partner for medical imaging manufacturers worldwide, signed a new contract for the implementation of the its interventional radiology imaging software, GOPView iRVPlus.

The global manufacturer of interventional radiology equipment expects its stationary interventional radiology systems with the image enhancement software to be available on the market later this year.

Released at RSNA 2008, GOPView iRVPlus enables image enhancement, while enabling a dose reduction of more than one third, which minimizes both patient and medical staff exposure during a procedure, without any compromise in image quality or diagnostic value.

GOPView iRVPlus relies on a continuous adaptive filtration method to analyze every pixel in an image, giving every structure in the image the same level of analysis. This rotationally invariant process eliminates the risk of critical information being overlooked during a procedure, leading to higher clinical value.

Like all ContextVision products, GOPView iRVPlus uses a proprietary algorithm, GOP, which simultaneously enhances all structures and reduces noise. The image enhancement ensures that more details can be seen while introducing less blur. Additionally, an extensive and growing library of adaptive filters fine-tunes images.
