March 3, 2009 - Merge Healthcare today released its eFilm Workstation 3.1, which adds Windows Vista support, reportedly faster load times and accelerated workflow communication to the popular diagnostic review software.

With tens of thousands of downloads and licensed users worldwide, eFilm Workstation aims to be one of the easiest-to-use DICOM viewers available. eFilm Workstation is most commonly used as a diagnostic workstation, technologist review station, remote reading terminal, image distribution mechanism and disaster recovery device.

The release of version 3.1 also includes the first year of technical support provided on a 24 hour a day, seven day a week basis. This new extended support coverage program was implemented to assure the needs of each eFilm Workstation user are met, while providing optimal support access to eFilm’s growing international customer base.

This latest release builds upon the eFilm Workstation 3.0 version to provide users faster image loading and customizable viewing protocols for enhanced workflow. Other improvements made to its visualization, print and CD/DVD features accelerate both access and distribution of images among patients and referring physicians. A free, 30-day trial of eFilm Workstation 3.1 is available for download at www.merge.com.
