February 24, 2009 – Three Palm Software (TPS) said today that its WorkstationOne and CadOne mammography software products have been issued Canadian Medical Device Licences, clearing the way for TPS to directly market its mammography software products within Canada.

WorkstationOne is a diagnostic breast imaging workstation software that obtains breast imaging screening or diagnosis exams from PACS or modalities and allows radiologists to display and manipulate the images for interpretation. WorkstationOne is developed with the goal of assisting radiologists to read digital mammograms efficiently. The system supports IHE integration profiles, has the capability to store and retrieve user markup in an interchangeable format and also has the ability to generate customizable recall and screening reports, which can also interface with a reporting system to generate an interpretation report. WorkstationOne also supports media exchange, film printing and 10-bit grayscale display on suitable monitors.

CadOne is a mammography CAD server. CadOne is designed to be used in mammography screening, in particular, with a digital data source (e.g., FFDM or CR for mammography). The workflow is that an acquisition device or PACS pushes the DICOM MG "For Processing" images from a mammography exam to CadOne via a DICOM storage service class, CadOne processes the images and generates a CAD report, and then pushes the report as DICOM SR via a DICOM storage service to one or more destinations.
