February 3, 2009 - The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) announced that the 2009 ASRT election polls are now open, and all members who joined on or before Dec. 30, 2008 are eligible to vote.

“Voting for the officers and delegates that will shape the future of ASRT, as well as the radiologic sciences, is an important right and privilege for ASRT members,” said ASRT President Linda K. Holden, M.S., R.T.(R)(QM), RDMS, FASRT. “Unfortunately only about 2 percent of ASRT members vote each year. Members should realize that the election is not just about electing new Board officers and delegates. It’s about voting for candidates that will make decisions that not only affect ASRT, but may ultimately affect each member’s job. That means each member should be voting. It’s about their future as well.”

Those eligible to vote can vote online by visiting ASRT’s Web site at www.asrt.org/vote.
