December 5, 2008 – Nuance Communications introduced Veriphy 3.0 at RSNA, its new critical test result management (CTRM) solution that enables compliance with The Joint Commission’s accreditation requirement for the way patients’ critical test results are communicated.
Nuance says Veriphy 3.0 is currently the only end-to-end healthcare enterprise solution that automatically tracks provider-to-provider shared patient messages, indicates the severity of patients’ findings and through its notification and message delivery process and does not “close the communication loop” until message receipt is verified by an authorized caregiver.
Key features include:
Connect Live - facilitates critical result notification at the time the patient’s indication is identified by enabling bi-directional communication from the Veriphy system, the radiology reporting application or the lab. Notification can be sent via a personalized alert direct to the intended caregiver, or by incorporating a designated person to communicate the message, while ensuring that the message is monitored until received.
Directory Synch – consolidates caregivers’ profiles across the institution, creating one consistent point-of-delivery that makes it simple to communicate with the correct ordering clinician every time.
Custom Notifications – creates customized email, fax, pager and text alerts based on preference
PIN Validation – users are prompted to enter a PIN to validate who has received the message in instances of shared devices, reportedly speeding receipt via a mobile device and closing the communication loop in the press of a few buttons
