May 19, 2008 – Viztek formed an exclusive agreement with CMT Medical Technologies for the U. S. distribution of CMT’s SmartRAD family of direct radiography (DR) products, combining the CMT DR system and Viztek’s proprietary Web-based Opal-RAD PACS and Opal-RIS solutions to provide an improved digital solution for a wide range of applications.
The CMT Smart RAD DR flat panel detectors are offered as complete integrated digital X-ray rooms. They are available with both single and dual detectors, and retrofit to an existing X-ray bucky. The flexible CMT system is available in multiple configurations designed to meet the needs of radiologists and orthopedists with varying practice sizes.
Viztek’s Opal-RAD PACS allows radiologists dictate reports directly to exam files, while AnyModal CDS captures and comprehends clinical information from dictation, transforming it directly into accessible, retrievable and shareable electronic files. The technology utilizes speech understanding to reportedly deliver highly accurate, complete documents with meaning and context. Audio files are available for review locally or by any authorized user anywhere over the Internet.
