March 6, 2008 - Carestream Health Inc. released a new orthopedic practice miniPACS platform that includes use of advanced measurement tools, long-length image review, edge enhancement and image viewing and adjustment options, at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) this week.
The MX-Orthopedic miniPACS offering features a Web-server along with concurrent access user licenses and has advanced measurement tools such as Cobb angle, coxometry, goniometry and pelvis measurements. The solution includes the company’s streaming technology designed to speed digital image transfer even over low bandwidth networks. Registered users can simultaneously log into the Web server from multiple exam rooms or locations through a single user login account with the floating users licenses featured with this offering.
The company also demonstrated the latest version of OrthoView’s comprehensive digital planning and templating solution that incorporates auto-scaling; pediatrics and trauma planning and templating; an extensive library of joint replacement templates and automated measurement tools.
The software, which can be integrated into the Kodak Carestream PACS desktop or the new MX-Orthopedic system, is available to licensed users of any Kodak Carestream PACS workstation and can be launched with a single button, from a single system login.
