October 24, 2007 - Franklin & Seidelmann Subspecialty Radiology (F&S) announced that it has expanded its subspecialty teleradiology business model to now offer final and preliminary nighttime interpretations via its acquisition of Apex Radiology in Coral Gables, FL.
With the acquisition, F&S reportedly becomes the industry's largest teleradiology provider of final reports, as well as the largest subspecialty teleradiology provider. The company's annual case volume is expected to be more than 800,000 final reports.

The Apex acquisition marks the addition of 25 radiologists who provide nighttime final and preliminary interpretations to bring its total radiologist count to more than 100. F&S will now provide its 250 clients with a combination of full-service teleradiology coverage and the subspecialty radiology expertise foundation that F&S was built upon. Clients rely on the clinically-specific reports and consultations to help them improve referring physician satisfaction, increase referrals and revenues, gain a competitive advantage and optimize radiologist staffing costs, according to the company.
