October 11, 2007 - NAI Tech Products has announced the release of a software and hardware upgrade to the popular DICOM box network interface, including both hardware and software enhancements that reportedly provide dramatic improvements in speed, functionality and set up.
The hardware upgrade to the DICOM box aims to provide a faster processor and expanded memory for improved performance in applying image filters, data compression and conversion of higher frequency video sources. In addition the network transfer speed has been increased to improve data transmission over the network.
Release 7.0 software includes an upgrade to the video set-up capabilities, simplifying installation and set-up, creating a plug-and-play interface for any analog video source. NAI Tech Products will begin shipment of the new hardware and software in November and the product will be featured in their booth, 2909 at this year’s RSNA.
