May 7, 2007 - Fujifilm Medical Systems USA Inc. recently partnered with Empiric Systems LLC to integrate Empiric’s RIS functionality into its Synapse PACS and provide imaging centers with a customizable solution that is reportedly capable of meeting all of their imaging and information needs.
When Fujifilm’s Synapse PACS is integrated with the Empiric Encompass.NET RIS, users have a streamlined, full-featured PACS/RIS solution that is completely scaleable to the needs of smaller radiology departments and imaging centers. Customized for their specific workflow and imaging needs, the integration enables complete access to the Encompass.NET RIS, including the ability to edit, dictate and access reports and other data, while working within Fujifilm’s Synapse PACS and likewise enable access to all PACS imaging studies and data while logged into the Encompass.NET RIS.
Some features include a single interface for access to notes, documents, reports, allergy notifications and other clinical information. The integration also contains dictation workflow through integrated dictation and transcription features and image access from the RIS for all users including clinicians and referring physicians.
