May 1, 2007 - GE Healthcare introduced today the Nemoto Dual Shot CT injector, brought to market in collaboration with Nemoto, the CT Injector was designed to help optimize contrast procedures and use, as well as clinical workflow.

The CT injector was created with a design that includes an intuitive two-step anatomical protocol set-up, a unique syringe design that helps in the patient preparation process and features like simultaneous contrast and saline injection.

Simultaneous injections of saline and contrast, as well as saline flush, are advanced features that help clinicians enhance the clinical benefits of CT and improve scanner efficiency. The injection pressure graph displays needle tip pressure changes in real time for safe injection and peace of mind, particularly as higher injection rates come more into demand with faster CT scan times.

Nemoto was recognized with a Good Design Award for their product. The ergonomically designed injector head illuminates syringes and features a built-in heater to protect against external shocks. An LCD interface enabled for quick operation and navigation also offers an intuitive anatomical protocol selection. A compact flash memory for personalized protocols provides security if the injector is swapped and enables future product upgrades. Both pedestal and ceiling mounting options are available.
