February 12, 2007 - Sectra recently announced that it will launch the latest member of its next-generation Sectra PACS workstation family, plus its latest generation of RIS/PACS and orthopedic solution at ECR.

The new diagnostic workstation with distribution of datasets of reportedly all sizes uses advanced streaming and pre-loading technology. It is designed for variations in network quality and also works over high-latency networks. Sectra’s patents pending technology for retrieving and displaying image data of extreme size eliminates problems encountered in working with large datasets.

Sectra will also demonstrate the latest version of Sectra RIS/PACS, a complete workflow solution for entirely film and paper-free radiology featuring customized role based workflow and Sectra Control Tower for radiology statistics and live monitoring.

In addition, the company will present the latest version of the Sectra Orthopedic Package, adding such functionality as automatic calibration and new improved semi-automatic hip planning tools to the desktop of the orthopedic surgeon.
