A pair of Georgia-based groups, Cardiovascular Medicine and Quantum Radiology, have announced the formation of a clinical research site that specializes in conducting Phase II-IV studies. Known as InnovaMed Alliance, the multidisciplinary collaboration is working with the healthcare industry to provide patients with access to novel therapies.
InnovaMed is launching with the WARCEF study funded by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. The primary objective is to determine if warfarin or aspirin is superior for preventing mortality and stroke in patients with heart failure via a randomized, double-blind, multi-center clinical trial. Both practices look forward to combining their strengths for improved medical research and better patient care.
Cardiovascular Medicine is the largest cardiology practice in the WellStar Health System market area. Quantum Radiology is the largest private practice radiology group in Georgia, boasting 36 sub-specialized physicians performing over 600,000 procedures annually.
