PatientKeeper Client Wins 2006 AMDIS Award

PatientKeeper, Inc., a developer of physician information systems, announced that its client Covenant HealthCare in Michigan was named one of the winners of the 2006 AMDIS Awards for excellence and achievement in applied medical informatics The Covenant HealthCare team was honored at the 16th Annual Physician-Computer Connection Symposium held in San Diego, California.
The Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems (AMDIS) organizes the annual award program, a non-profit organization comprised of over 1,200 physician leaders responsible for information technology in their organizations. The award marked the second consecutive year that a PatientKeeper client was recognized for improving access to clinical information, enhancing patient safety and streamlining physician workflow.
“Covenant wanted to give physicians a wealth of clinical information that could be accessed anywhere and anytime through mobile devices or the Web,” said Keith Grantham, director of information technology for Covenant. “Our physicians embraced PatientKeeper…we have nearly a thousand clinicians and staff accessing information from PDAs, smartphones and Web browsers.”
