AFC Industries Inc. will feature at SIIM 2008 the ErgoTier, an addition to its MaxFlex series of customizable workstations for radiology reading, which now comes with a full range of accessories.

A next-generation single tier cart, ErgoTier combines a height-adjustable single tier workstation with a new flexible flat panel monitor platform. At the touch of a button, the height of the work surface and displays adjust to the desired level. The monitor’s forward, backward and tilt positions also can be fine-tuned to reportedly meet the user’s exact needs.

The ErgoTier comes with a full range of accessories to ensure comfort and convenience. Cable management keeps wires neat and unobtrusive, while dimmer-controlled task lighting illuminates the user’s work to the desired intensity, reducing eyestrain and monitor glare. Adjustable phone and dictation equipment supports work to keep this equipment within easy reach, while reportedly leaving work surfaces clutter-free.

AFC will introduce at SIIM 2008 the Pneumatic Lift Wall Mount, a space-saving radiology workstation engineered for confined areas. The unit is ergonomically designed with a gas-spring height-adjustable mechanism for use while sitting or standing. Because of its adjusted features, it also is an ideal choice for computers shared by multiple users with different ergonomic needs.

The Wall Mount’s keyboard support adjusts from 26 to 38 inches in height and retracts and folds to save space when not in use. Additionally, the monitor support is height adjustable and tilts up and down to achieve the user’s optimum viewing angle. Standard on the Wall Mount are 75-by-75 mm and 100-by-100 mm mounting plates for flat panel monitors.
