Philips Ultrasound Systems Include Expanded Capabilities

Upgrades to the Philips Medical Systems iU22 include expanded volumetric capabilities, imaging solutions for technically difficult patients, interventional and contrast tools and approaches to improve workflow efficiencies.

The C5-1 curved array transducer for the iU22 reportedly enables imaging of all patients. The ViewForum for ultrasound is a standalone workstation that provides a comprehensive range of 3D review capabilities.

Also featured, the HD11 XE system is an “all-in-one” ultrasound system that can quickly handle the scanning needs of a diverse patient population and the increasing demand for ultrasound examinations, according to the company. New to the HD11 XE is the BP10-5ec broadband biplane transducer, which enables prostate imaging. Color Invert enables the user to visualize directional blood flow within the inverted volume.
