Impac just completed its first installation of its new Mosaiq Oncology PACS, a system designed to manage increasingly large volumes of image data generated in radiotherapy, accommodating the complex workflow of radiation oncology (RT) and providing integration with the Mosaiq image-enabled EMR system.
The system allows users to archive, retrieve and manage information to support advanced IGRT techniques in radiation oncology. It is standards based and capable of storing and managing DICOM Information Object Definitions (IODS), including DICOM RT and DICOM RT ION, allowing for integration with DICOM-compliant devices. It also stores non-DICOM file formats such as AVI, BMP, JPEG, MP3, WAV, PDF, Microsoft Word and more.
