August 31, 2007 — Medical Records Institute announced the availability of EMRCompare data on 14 companies' EMR products on its website www.medrecinst.com/emrcompare/index.html.
EMRCompare was developed to provide physicians and others with broader, more transparent information than is available elsewhere about EMR systems, including cost, functionality, and usability.
EMRCompare allows potential buyers and others to search EMR information and do side-by-side comparisons of products' costs and functionalities according to practice-size, as well as ASP-based and INH-linked practices. Videotaped demonstration of each product's recording of a mock physician-patient encounter can also be viewed. Cost and functionality data are presented in spreadsheet format allowing side-by-side comparisons. Additional search options will be added in the future.
