GE Brings LightSpeed VCT XT to RSNA

GE will feature its LightSpeed VCT XT configuration, SnapShot Pulse that works through a process called prospective triggered gating, turning CT X-ray on and off at desired times during a patient’s heart rate cycle. Since SnapShot Pulse software only keeps the X-rays active for key portions of a scan, it is reportedly able to reduce a patient’s exposure time by up to 70 percent over conventional helical scans.
