A new ergonomic reading station from Broadwest Corp., the E-Carrell, is a completely flexible work environment for softcopy reading. A lighting system maintains the ambient and background luminance in a ratio to enhance viewing productivity. The height is adjustable, as are the monitor stands and the angle of the desktop’s surface via motorized controls. A privacy and sound barrier completes this digital haven. The system has three components including: a downward task light, a background light behind the monitors and an upward ambient light.
It is an auto dimming sensor system, which is calibrated to maintain a ratio of seven for the maximum monitor luminance to three for the background light to one for the ambient light.
