February 27, 2008 – TeraMedica brought to HIMSS 2008 its Evercore SOAR (Service Oriented Architecture Repository) platform that operates as a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) by using industry-standard Web services protocols.
The Evercore Platform includes the Evercore Connector, which connects data and images, the Evercore SmartStore with clinical storage rule and an Evercore Distributor feature that serves all customers.
The functionalities provided by the SOA were previously only available internally within Evercore or via more complex protocols such as DICOM or HL7. The platform reportedly allows hospitals and healthcare systems to choose the best-of-breed when shopping for modalities and departmental systems.
