With the Seca 763, both the height and weight of a patient can be found in one step; both values are indicated on two LCD displays integrated into the display panel, and the system automatically calculates the BMI of the patient. This value provides information on the general nutritional condition of the patient on the basis of the recognized WHO standard. With its capacity of 250 kilograms, the measuring station can handle heavyweight patients, said Seca.
The Model 684 by Seca facilitates safe weighing while the patient is standing, sitting or in a wheelchair — without having to be converted. When standing the patient is supported by a stable handrail; when sitting, by an integrated folded seat; and when in a wheelchair by a large platform — the weight of the wheelchair is simply tared away by the pre-tare function. Special attention has been given to make the scale easy to access; a stop barrier for the front wheels of the wheelchair is an additional safety feature. Results are easy for patient and caregiver to read from the swiveling display mounted at a convenient level.
