Tanita’s PW-630U scale for acute, bariatric and geriatric care markets is designed with an ultra-low platform in order to provide stability and comfort for patients while getting on the scale.
Weighing 68 pounds, the unit is mobile, allowing users to bring the scale wherever wheelchair-bound patients require, and provides storage options to conserve office space, said Tanita. Additional specifications include a max capacity of 660 pounds, weight increments of 0.2 pounds, a weighting system with a four-point load cell and a 2.2-by-2.7-inch display. The system also features a two-line LCD and platform dimensions of 37.5-by-31.5-by-2 inches. Other key features include an integrated thermal printer with tare function, memory, recall and a RS-232 output.
The WB-3000 digital beam scale features an automatic body mass index (BMI) calculation and RS-232 and USB outputs to capture patient data to an external device. The portable unit can be separated into the display, the platform and the pillar and set with casters for mobility, said the company. The system also supports a mechanical height rod, allowing patients height to be taken the same time as weight.
