Eastman Kodak Co.'s new mammography feature in the Kodak DirectView CR 850, CR 950 and CR 975 systems delivers computed radiography images with mammography quality. Coupled with the DirectView CR Mammography Cassettes and new EHR-M screens, the CR systems retain all features and capabilities for general radiography examinations.
The CR-based mammography feature, marketed by Kodak as an affordable foray into digital mammography is in the final phases of FDA review. Kodak also offers mammography-specific features for its RIS and PACS platforms that enhance workflow and MQSA reporting.
