July 30, 2008 - The International Brain Mapping and Intraoperative Surgical Planning Society (IBMISPS) presented GE Healthcare with the Society’s “Pioneer in Technology” award, rewarding GE’s leading role in the development and commercialization of image-guided technologies in healthcare.
The IBMISPS Pioneer Award is presented to companies and individuals who lead the fight for scientific excellence in research, development and education. IBMISPS now honors GE Healthcare for its excellence and efforts to promote the highest standards in technology development and patient care.
“GE Healthcare’s unique contributions to the science of imaging in general have been translated to clinically important advances in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with brain diseases,” said Babak Kateb, chairman of the Board, founder and executive director, International Brain Mapping & Intraoperative Surgical Planning Society (IBMISPS).
IBMISPS is specifically dedicated to the advancement of intra-operative surgical planning and brain mapping for the treatment of brain and spinal cord injuries and diseases.
