The InsightMRI Breast MR package from Broadwest Corp. consists of a breast coil, patient comfort aids and a diagnostic software package, designed for use with 1.5 Tesla scanners from Siemens Healthcare.
The Breast MR package is comprised of: an MRI coil capable of comfortably imaging a subject up to 350 lbs; patient positioning aides that can customize the configuration of the coil for maximum comfort; a patient headrest that allows the patient to view outside of the magnet bore, reducing the feeling of being in a confined MRI boree; a software package capable of discerning enhanced blood flow associated with tumors in a kinetic manner.
Some benefits include: 1.5T breast imaging coil for diagnostic and interventional imaging; a 4-channel phased array for parallel imaging; open access architecture for medial, lateral and cranial-caudal access; it supports several interventional access styles; it has bigger patient apertures to accommodate larger patients, better clinical access, and better illumination.
