SST Group, Inc., a leading provider of DICOM distribution solutions in the United States, and Intuitive Imaging Informatics, LLC, a pioneer of the picture archive and communication system (PACS) industry, announce their new partnership enabling Intuitive to sell SST Group's best-of-class dose monitoring software, Radiation Dose Monitor (RDM).

RDM collects, controls, analyzes and optimizes radiation doses delivered to patients during medical imaging and interventional procedures by storing and managing radiation dose data both for current and historical procedures.  "What sets RDM apart from other dose monitoring products is that it acquires, stores and analyzes data directly from the modality, presenting a more accurate dose estimate," says Richard Murphy, SST Group President.  "This allows medical professionals complete control of the dose with instant access to history as well as real-time monitoring and alerts."

RDM has achieved success in Central Europe by going beyond the industry requirements and providing a complete history of an institution's population for all diagnostic, interventional and image-guided surgical ionizing events.  This additional information allows a facility to see the entire picture on a patient's dosage history, based on anatomical region, in addition to what is sent to PACS.

"This partnership gives us the ability to help control radiation exposure to patients at our client's facilities," says Intuitive Imaging President, J. Martin Pfaff, PhD. "RDM is a great fit to our ImageQube portfolio."
