State’s largest not-for-profit healthcare organization will employ zero-footprint viewer to perform 1 million radiology exams per year

MaineHealth Selects eUnity Platform for Clinical and Diagnostic Viewing

August 17, 2017 — Client Outlook recently announced that MaineHealth has selected eUnity as its enterprise image viewing platform.

As the largest not-for-profit family of healthcare organizations in Maine, MaineHealth has earned stature as one of the nation’s top integrated healthcare delivery networks. Comprised of 11 community hospitals in 12 counties in Maine and New Hampshire, MaineHealth employs 18,000 employees to manage health and wellness programs that include disease diagnosis, for which it performs 1 million radiology exams per year.

eUnity’s advanced HTML5-based platform is designed to support the imaging evolution from hospital department to healthcare enterprise. Engineered on a flexible zero-footprint architecture, eUnity supports the entire image life cycle and gives healthcare systems the power to consolidate viewers across the enterprise. Seamless integration to archives, electronic medical records (EMR) or other patient support systems enables diverse workflows including first read in the emergency room (ER), primary diagnosis by the radiologist, and patient support and treatment planning by surgeons, specialists and referring physicians. The eUnity server is easy to implement and maintain, according to Client Outlook, running on a virtual machine which eliminates the need for heavy hardware and expensive, non-scalable GPUs. Unlike most radiology reading solutions available today, eUnity does not require any software downloads on any devices, which translates into a cost-effective solution to deploy and support.

MaineHealth applauded eUnity’s true zero footprint architecture and power to scale to the viewing needs of the users in its organization.
