The company’s strengthened image exchange offering within the Enterprise Imaging and Informatics Suite offers unparalleled interoperability, enhanced clinical collaboration and simplifies patient access

April 14, 2023 — Intelerad Medical Systems, a leading global provider of enterprise medical imaging solutions, today announced it will showcase its enhanced Enterprise Imaging and Informatics Suite at booth #3601 during the 2023 HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition in Chicago on April 18-21. Since its initial launch, the Enterprise Imaging and Informatics Suite now features the largest medical image exchange network in the world, following Intelerad’s recent acquisition of Life Image, which combined the two leading image exchange providers

The suite, designed to empower today’s leading hospitals and health systems, breaks down siloed data and creates a seamless, vendor-neutral information hub, integrating vital patient data across the entire healthcare ecosystem. By adding the image exchange solution into the suite, health systems can securely send and receive patient data across geographies, promoting collaboration and simplifying patient access. Furthermore, the newly fortified portfolio now includes over 18,000 image exchange network clients connected internationally through Intelerad solutions.

“Our purpose at Intelerad is to improve global human health, and we’re committed to serving our hospitals and health systems by delivering the right technology they need to eliminate silos, drive efficiency and make better patient care a reality,” said Morris Panner, President, Intelerad. “The expansion of our enterprise imaging network has enhanced our ability to specifically meet those client needs. As healthcare clients increase their demand for managing, sharing and analyzing patient data, they need a powerful, scalable, vendor-neutral imaging system to improve overall performance. Our network and products accomplish these important goals, and we are proud to present the strengthened suite at this year’s HIMSS show.”

A seamless image exchange solution is critical for hospital and healthcare systems. Disks still act as the prevalent method of image exchange across the US healthcare system despite the benefits healthcare providers and, most importantly, patients would experience without them. The elimination of disks would drastically cut down on costs for providers, in addition to removing the burden patients must bear when carrying a disk from facility to facility. By electronically transferring images, healthcare providers can make faster and more informed decisions that could lead to better care outcomes for patients. On top of owning the largest image exchange network in the world, Intelerad’s Image Exchange solution was engineered for interoperability, built flexibly to suit a variety of use cases, including cross-enterprise workflows, streamlined access for remote clinicians, off-site reads for radiology sub-specialists and more.

“The Intelerad team has been hard at work since last year’s HIMSS and we are excited to showcase all that is new and improved across our portfolio,” said AJ Watson, Chief Product Officer, Intelerad. “We invite all attendees to stop by our booth and explore the remarkable power of our solutions and how they can help take efficiencies and patient care to the next level. This year, we are especially proud to showcase our combined image exchange, now the world's largest and most trusted, which will give patients more access to their healthcare data.”
