Acquisition part of extensive imaging equipment upgrade for private Quebec City imaging clinic

RIMC, Canada, Shimadzu, Sonialvision G4, universal R/F system, radiographic fluoroscopy, Christie InnoMed

September 18, 2015 — Shimadzu Medical Systems USA announced the first Sonialvision G4 universal radiographic fluoroscopy (R/F) system installed in Canada.

The system was installed at Radiologie et Imagerie Médicale de la Capitale (RIMC) in Quebec City, which is accredited by the Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR). RIMC acquired the Sonialvision G4 through Christie InnoMed, a third-party distributor.

RIMC first partnered with Christie InnoMed in 1998 when they purchased Shimadzu’s RS-110 fluoroscopy suite, which they are still using today. The Sonialvision G4 purchase is part of an extensive update of much of RIMC’s imaging equipment.
