Apollo’s image management capabilities now part of ChartMaxx enterprise content management, helping hospitals and health systems capture, manage and access a broad range of information and content.

Apollo Enterprise Imaging Corp announced that it has entered into a strategic agreement with Quest Diagnostics to provide a complete enterprise imaging and content management solution for use with ChartMaxx, an enterprise content management (ECM) solution from Quest Diagnostics. With the combined solution, hospitals and health systems that use ChartMaxx will be able to manage, retrieve and share a broader spectrum of clinical multimedia, images, documents and data within the ChartMaxx platform. Additional terms were not disclosed.

Much of the content hospitals generate to care for patients, including DICOM and PACS images, is image-rich, large in data size, and difficult to manage. Apollo EPMM (Enterprise Patient Multimedia Manager) provides clinicians a single integrated solution to acquire, store, view and share the entire clinical multimedia spectrum generated by all subspecialties across the healthcare enterprise. Apollo EPMM streamlines workflows across 45 clinical specialties and is the only solution that can enhance clinical collaboration by enabling healthcare professionals to access their patients’ original clinical multimedia content and results through the EMR or directly via the Apollo platform.

ChartMaxx provides users 24/7 concurrent access to medical record information, including structured and unstructured data across the healthcare enterprise. Physicians and staff get online, intuitive access to the longitudinal patient record and critical information. The result is improved patient care, streamlined processes, a significant reduction in paper and technology solution that fits the needs of the healthcare organization.

More than 270 hospitals and integrated healthcare delivery networks have implemented ChartMaxx. Ranked the 'Best in KLAS' DMI solution more than any vendor, ChartMaxx enables healthcare organizations to see immediate improvements that support EMR integration, enhance performance results, accelerate processes, meet compliance standards, save time and reduce costs.

According to Mark Newburger, Apollo CEO, "The combination of ChartMaxx and Apollo EPMM capabilities transforms the existing healthcare information technology structure into a cohesive information framework that is better for patients, easier for providers, and secure for facilities. We accomplish this by providing an image management software solution which enables the capture, storage, retrieval and sharing of medical images and multimedia from all clinical departments and care scenarios, not just radiology and cardiology. This Integration will enable Apollo and Quest Diagnostics to provide the most comprehensive and secure enterprise imaging and content management solution available in the market today.  Combined with familiar systems already used by providers, the solution expedites collaborative care, while saving customers money."
