Single-Application Dressing Eliminates Need for Additional Layers that Inhibit Negative Pressure

June 29, 2006

V.A.C. GranuFoam Dressing offers direct and complete contact, eliminating the need for additional silver dressing layers that may inhibit negative pressure and granulation.

The dressing’s open pore nature (400 – 600 microns) provides uniform distribution of negative pressure at the wound site as well as continuous delivery of silver directly to the wound bed, even after sizing. A single application eliminates the need for adjunct silver dressings.

It also provides a protective barrier to reduce aerobic, gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, yeast and fungi and may help reduce infections in wounds.
