Robotic Patient Positioning System with a Short Learning Curve
The Protura robotic patient positioning system is designed to integrate with an existing IGRT (image guided radiation therapy) solution and linear accelerator to provide an affordable all-in-one motion management solution. It provides sub-millimeter corrections with 6 degrees of freedom from outside the treatment room.
Protura, from CIVCO Medical Solutions, is compatible with the company's Body Pro-Lok for SBRT and all two-pin compatible immobilization devices. A built-in redundant sensor system is used for auto-calibration and assures the robot precisely aligns the patient without needing an external camera system.
Protura comes standard with a Universal Counchtop featuring DoseMatch technology. It performs all rotations about isocenter, unique for each patient.
