RamSoft’s Unveils Breast Tomosynthesis Feature of PowerServer 5.1 at RSNA

December 27, 2011

PowerServer 5.1 from RamSoft now supports breast tomosynthesis. It is fully integrated into all versions of PowerServer 5.1 that support mammography; this means radiologists are not dependent on a dedicated mammography workstation to review breast tomosynthesis studies.

Mammography is supported in numerous PowerServer 5.1 applications; these include radiology information systems/picture archiving and communications systems (RIS/PACS), PACS, Tele Plus/Lite and the Gateway Mammo Viewer. The embedded mammography technology allows radiologists to view all forms of breast imaging (MRI, ultrasound, tomography and X-ray) from a single client interface. The system offers the image management and reporting tools of dedicated mammography workstations with the flexibility of a multi-modality radiology solution.

It also includes a complete certified electronic health record (EHR) specifically for PowerServer RIS/PACS and Tele Plus. The EHR allows radiologists to qualify for meaningful use (MU) grants by using software specifically designed for radiology. The module is 2011/2012 compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ATCB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
