The SilverSeal tubular cast component with X-STATIC silver solution forms a protective layer of an orthopedic cast below the cast padding and cast tape, providing skin with an antimicrobial barrier against infection during skin excoriation.
The extra layer promotes patient hygiene by eliminating odor and providing continuous, sustained release of silver cations. There is no flaking and shedding of elemental silver and no staining of patient or clinician.
