Non Disruptive, Accountable Care Ready, Interoperability Platform

Vital Images, Inc., a Minneapolis-based advanced medical imaging and informatics company, launched “VNA on demand” to the global marketplace. While Vital continues to lead the world in advanced visualization and personalized medicine algorithms, 2016 heralds an increased focus on enterprise informatics. Evidence of this strategy will become evident over the coming weeks in a number of future solution announcements, related to leading the world in unique interoperability platforms. Vital is committed to bringing the vision and strategy behind advanced algorithm ingenuity into informatics, targeting informatics, accountable care, collaborative care, integrating multiple EMRs, HIE, VNA, PACS, ECM and more. VNA on demand sets forth the first example of next generation vendor neutral platforms, based on lessons learned in first generation platforms. This next generation platform, VNA on demand, allows chief information officers and their associated technology teams to deploy VNA in their timeframe and on their terms. The solution allows the customer to store only desired images and the customer has control of the entire situation without enormous impost of their resources and infrastructure. This game-changing concept provides many different benefits, such as immediate relief for customers with image storage issues and others interested in VNA who do not have resources to deploy immediately.

“We are excited to launch VNA on demand to the global marketplace. Based on direct customer feedback, this new product development is in lockstep with our customer-centered product requirements ethos. VNA on demand provides an immediate non disruptive solution, leveraging existing infrastructure, truly changing the face of the VNA marketplace forever. From an enterprise informatics perspective at Vital,  this is a necessary yet incremental step in our vision to provide unique solutions in enterprise interoperability, patient engagement, secure access to the patient’s complete health record and more which is in lockstep with the Accountable Care environment,” said President and CEO at Vital, Jim Litterer.

“As someone who was involved in shaping the creation of the first generation concept of VNA in 2004, I bring forth a succinctly unique perspective to this simple, yet elegant and powerful solution. Rather than another enterprise deployment on already resource limited healthcare providers, this solution provides an easy entry point into the continuum of VNA. VNA on demand provides the answer customers have been seeking in the marketplace for more than a decade. Simplicity is mandatory for technology providers, in a marketplace steeped in growing government regulations, pressure on shared saving programs, increased focus on chronic disease management, bundled payments, Accountable Care Organizations and the Patient Privacy Accountable Care Act (PPACA),” said Vital’s Vice President, Marketing,  Dr. Paul A. Markham.
