June 13, 2007 - In response to the new Medicare ASC payment system due out this summer and scheduled to take effect in January 2008, FASA will be holding a one-time Coding Seminar on Oct. 22 and 23 in Tucson, AZ, giving ASC coders and managers the skills needed to maneuver the new payment system.

Coding instructors Joanne Schade-Boyce, RDH, MS, CPC and Cristina Bentin, CCS-P, CPC-H, CMA along with FASA staff will lead the sessions on specialty coding and beginner and advanced coding skills. The seminar will also include in-depth discussions of denials management, implants and carve out coding and documentation strategies aimed at reimbursement optimization.
