Picis to Demonstrate CareSuite Extelligence OR

Picis will display its CareSuite Extelligence OR, a Web-based business intelligence (BI) solution designed specifically for analyzing and managing the business performance of the surgical environment.

The maker said it seamlessly integrates with CareSuite OR Manager, Picis’ operating room management system, allowing end-users to directly access and interpret the operational and performance data gathered during the surgical continuum. Extelligence OR enables health systems to examine an extensive range of information from physician performance to scheduling efficiency to help improve time and materials management across the surgical department.

Extelligence OR version 3.1 allows executives and department directors to harness the power of data captured throughout the surgical process, such as case costs and milestones, patient information, stock items and implants, as well as the impact of various surgeons, services and procedures. The technology allows decision-makers access to digestible, actionable business intelligence and reportedly requires little involvement from the hospital’s information technology department. Enhancements featured in version 3.1 include implant tracking, expanded age filters and technical upgrades.
