Imaging Technology News Webinar Series
-- Supported by an educational grant from Philips Healthcare
Originally aired Friday, January 13, 2012 (CME NOT AVAILABLE AFTER LIVE BROADCAST)
Statement of Purpose:
The presentation is designed to introduce the audience to the new wide bore 3T MRI systems recently brought to market. The new systems offer several advantages, including improved field homogeneity, improved signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) through greater use of digital technology, and decreased 3T artifacts via application of multi-transmit technology. Using these new capabilities can improve musculoskeletal (MSK) in the routine clinical setting.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to: 1. Recognize new technological developments in the latest generation of wide bore 3T systems and why they are important.
2. Incorporate these new capabilities in the design of protocols specific to MSK MRI.
3. Evaluate why high resolution imaging is important and how it can help clinicians in everyday clinical practice.
Intended Audience:
All radiology staff
